Golf is a summer sport (May—Aug). Golfers typically practice twice a week and compete in a regional and state competition. Times and locations To Be Announced.

ATHLETES WHO ARE FIRST TIME GOLFERS WILL TYPICALLY PARTICIPATE THEIR FIRST YEAR AT THE *SKILLS LEVEL (this level of competition is not open to unified partners).
*Individual Skills Competition consists of the following: Short Putt, Long Putt, Chip Shot, Pitch Shot, Iron Shot, Wood Shot
Unified Partners
ATHLETES WHO ARE EXPERIENCED GOLFERS WILL PARTICIPATE IN STROKE PLAY WITH A *UNIFIED PARTNER.
*Unified Partners are non-disabled peers who partner with Special Olympics athletes in competition.
Special Olympics is the world’s largest program of sports training and competition for children and adults with intellectual disabilities. Participation is open to all individuals eight years of age or older. Training and competition in local, area, state, and national programs is offered year-round in 15 sports.
